Editorial standards

Research should remain visible.

Our policy explains how articles are sourced, interpreted, updated, and connected.

Primary texts first

Research begins with Nietzsche's published works in reliable editions. Nietzsche Source's digital critical edition is the main reference point, with reputable public-domain editions used where appropriate.

Scholarship and interpretation

Academic reference works, major scholarly publishers, recognized biographies, and established Nietzsche scholars provide context. Where readers face a genuine dispute, the article identifies the interpretation as disputed instead of presenting it as fact.

Quotations

We do not rely on quote websites. A quotation must be verified in a reliable text. Modern translations and scholarship are protected works, so articles favor original explanation and use only short passages where necessary.

Independence and corrections

The publication is independent and educational. It does not claim official status. Corrections should identify the page, the specific claim, and a checkable source; verified corrections are incorporated into genuine update dates.
